When I first saw the ad for the Lancome Teint Miracle 7 day sample I couldn't wait to go pick one up. I've always wished that more companies would provide foundation testers so you can make an informed decision before parting with £20/£30 but sadly 9 times out of 10 they say that they dont offer testers. So naturally, I was really pleased that a high end cosmetic company such as Lancome was finally offeirng a 7 day sample! However, unfortunately I dont think it worked in their favour...!
For starters I definitely wouldn't call it a miracle. The new Lancome Teint Miracle has the coverage of a tinted moisturiser without the creamy consistency & moisturising properties. Although the product claims it is moisturising, it seems to dry to an almost powder like finish which just left my skin feeling dry & looking somewhat bland.
When I first applied it, I thought the consistency was fairly thick & therefore thought I wouldn't need much but I did. A pea sized amount didnt seem to do anything. It didnt look like I had any make up on at all. On a day to day basis, I'm not looking for a super high coverage, just something to even out my skin tone & give my skin a nice finish but it didn't even do that. It's not long wearing at all & ended up leaving me face looking slightly patchy - like I had put my make up on in a bad light. So if you're looking for even long lasting covering & lets face it, who isnt(!?) then I'd stay well away.
This product can be compared to tinted moisturisers & powders but in the foundation stakes it just doesnt hold up. Positives? It smells good & the pump keeps the product hygenic, it didnt break me out & it does contain an SPF but for this price (£25.55) I'd rather just invest in a really good tinted moisturiser. Probably the most upsetting thing about this product is that it's endorsed by one of my favourite actresses - Julia Roberts!
I'd be really interested to hear what other people think about this product. Reviews are always down to personal opinion & skin types but personally I'd give this a miss...!
