Get Naked with Urban Decay!

I had the best suprise ever last week when I came home from work to find my amazing, star of a flatmate had been out shopping in town & caught a sales assistant putting out a fresh stack of the Urban Decay Naked palettes in Debenhams (which ive wanted pretty much since I was born but it was out of stock all over Christmas) and bought it for me as a present!

I've been waiting to get my hands on this palette for ages & it definitely hasnt been a disappointment! I think im in love with the packaging just as much as the product! I love brown, gold, beige, pink and generally neutral tone eye make up, my favorite being a brown smokey eye & on occasion, on a night out, a black smokey eye & for me that's why this palette has it all!

Every shade of brown you could want including shimmer & matte shadows + a black & grey shadow, not forgetting a small sample bottle of Primer Potion (which I've wanted to try for ages but had never got round to) and a double ended black / brown eye liner!

With 12 shades to choose from & plenty of mixing & matching to keep you busy, you're not likely to get bored of these colours any time soon! Some of the colours have been featured in Urban Decay's previous palettes like Book of Shadows etc but there are also 5 brand new limited edition colours in the palette. It's definitely my favourite Eye palette. Great as gift or the best excuse ever to treat yourself!

Retailing for around £27.50, it's avaliable from many Department Stores across the UK (including House of Fraser & Debenhams), and some Boots stores however as this palette is pretty popular at the moment, it's often out of stock but keep searching instore/online & one will crop up soon!

Wipe it away with L'oreal De-Maq Expert Wipes!

I feel like I am on a constant mission to find the perfect make up remover wipes & last year I finally suceeded. While on holiday, I ran out & had to use my friends make up wipes for the rest of the week & I've been hooked on L'oreal De-Maq Expert Wipes ever since! Previously I've often found a lot of make up wipes dry out quite quickly once out of the packet (or even while still in the packet!) and can start to feel slighty abrasive on the skin, not to mention that stinging feeling round the eyes that often occurs & the nasty chemical smell you have to put up with! However L'oreal De-Maq Expert Wipes are the answer to your make up removing prayers! They take off even the heaviest nights make in a single wipe & the rich texture stops them drying out too quickly. They're soft on your skin & remove all waterproof or long lasting make up without repetitive scrubbing. Last but not least they have a proper plastic air tight dispenser lid they stops them drying out! I can pretty much promise that once you've tried these bad boys you'll be sold & wont ever bother trying any others!

At roughly £5 pack (40 wipes) they're pricey but definitly worth it especially as most other packs normally contain only 25 to 30 wipes.

Find them in store and online at Superdrug :)

Violetta Matte Nail Polish - Thank You Avon!

Yes, its another Nail Polish rave & its just as deserving as my last one (Molten Copper by Accessorize). I first discovered Avon's Matte Nail Polish range through Fleur de Force and thought it was genius. Nail polish that replaced that standard glaze effect with a matte finish (I know other matte polishes has been around for a while but I was a bit late on the uptake)! The range was launched on the 23rd December & there are 5 colours avaliable but Violetta is definately the one to beat. So you can understand why I was made up when I entered Fleur's competition to win a bottle of Violetta Matte Nail Polish by Avon & won!

This metallic matte violet colour has me sold & as an added bonus it's thick (so no streaks) but still dries in an instant. I've worn it everyday since it arrived in the post & am pleased to have a new addition to my must have nail polish list. You can get away with one coat if you're in a rush but it looks better with two. The only down side is that it chips far too easily (pretty much after 1 day) so investing in a matte top coat is kind of essential.

Normally priced at £6, its on sale for just £3 on the Avon website at the moment - so really theres no reason not to invest!

Accessorize launches their Make Up range!

Im posting again! Just started a new job so things have been hectic to say the least but that hasn't stopped me building up a plentiful list of things I want to post about! I'll start with a new favourite nail polish - Molten Copper by Accessorize. Yes thats right, Accessorize now do make up. Something I was rather dubious about because I generally feel beauty products should be left to those who do it best. However, I was more than pleasantly suprised!

Its a gorgeous glittery copper colour that is incredibly wearable. The copper/gold shade is suprisingly neutral and goes with nearly all colours, so suits every outfit. It catches the light really well and is super wearble, perfect for a night out but subtle enough to sport during the day. Like with any glitter based nail polish, you need a few coats (as a result it chips away quicker than other polish but a good top coat should stop that).

Retailing for £4 from Superdrug & Accessorize

Here's to hoping the rest of the range is as good!
